The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced Nigeria and 45 other countries for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier.
The completion is meant for players playing in their countries’ domestic leagues.
The home-based Super Eagles will trade tackles with six other teams in the West African Football Union(WAFU) B zone of the qualifiers.
Nigeria failed to qualify for the last edition of the competition, which was hosted by Algeria.
Senegal won the competition after edging out Algeria in a penalty shootout in the final.
The home-based Super Eagles have made it to the competition thrice in the past.
They came third at the 2014 edition hosted by South Africa and were runners-up four years later in Morocco.
