
Nigeria’s Super Eagles secured a resounding 4-0 victory over the Benin Republic in their final 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers group match.
Eric Chelle’s side secured a place in the playoffs following the comfortable win.
Victor Osimhen opened the scoring for Nigeria in the third minute after he was set up by Samuel Chukwueze.
Osimhen doubled the advantage in the 37th minute, with Chukwueze also providing the assist.
The Galatasaray striker netted his third six minutes after the break.
Substitute Frank Onyeka fired home the third goal deep into stoppage time.
The Super Eagles will now look to qualify for the World Cup through the playoffs.
