62nd Independence Anniversary: Work Against Threats To Corporate Existence As A Nation, Abidikugu Charges Nigerians

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DAKA Foundation, Dr kazeem Adesina Abidikugu has urged Oyo state residents and Nigerians as whole to consider the Independence Day celebration as a time of sober reflection.

He also charged Nigerians to work against violence and all threats to the corporate existence of the country.

Abidikugu, while felicitating with the people of Ibadan Southeast and Northeast federal constituency, Oyo state and Nigerians as whole on the 62nd Independence anniversary, he noted that despite numerous challenges, the nation was still find her fit on the comity of Nation.

He pointed out that there is still more to be done to achieve the nation of everyone’s dreams, and to be more committed to building bridges of peace and development.

Abidikugu, a Nigerian UK-based medical consultant admonished Nigerians to be proud of their country and desist from any acts that are inimical to the continued corporate existence of the country.

According to him, “On behalf of myself, my family, political associates and DAKA Foundation, I congratulate Nigerians on the occasion of the 2022 Independence celebration.

“In 62 years of our independence, Nigeria has faced with many challenges, but we have overcome some of the challenges. A lot has to be done to overcome other challenges we are still facing as a nation such as terrorism, kidnapping, sluggish economic growth and unemployment amongst our youth.

”However, these challenges are not insurmountable. Thankfully, the prevailing sentiment is that we as Nigerians would rather remain together even as we make positive efforts to build a perfect union along the lines of the vision of our founding fathers.

“We have been enjoying democracy since 1999 and as we are in electioneering process to elect another leaders in 2023, we must continue to work together to surmount the challenges threatening to destabilise our nascent democracy and undo the gains achieved in the past 23 years.”
