Abidikugu Congratulates Olubadan, CCII, Others On Successful Completion Of Ibadan Cultural Festival
The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of DAKA Foundation, Dr Kazeem Adesina Abidikugu, popularly known as KSO, has congratulated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja (ARUSA I), the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), and the entire Ibadan Indigenes on the successful completion of the 2026 Ibadan Cultural Festival.
The 2026 Ibadan Cultural Festival Grand Finale was held at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, on Saturday. The Festival was used to celebrate the city’s rich heritage, unity, and pride.
The event featured vibrant cultural displays, masquerades, and performances bringing together residents and the diaspora to mark the end of the week-long celebration.
The event focused on sustainability and the promotion of Ibadan culture, heritage, and unity
Abidikugu, who is the Agba-Akin Bobajiro of Ibadanland, described the successful completion of the Festival as a good development and prays for the continuous progress and development of Ibadanland.
In a statement he made available to the media on Sunday, Abidikugu, a member of the Association of Ibadan Indigenes (AII), Manchester, also commended the Festival planning committee, saying the week has showcased the unity and bond of friendship of the descendants of Ibadanland.
He called for a continuation of the display of the Ibadan rich cultural heritage
He therefore congratulated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja Arusa 1, and the CCII, saying the peaceful conduct of the week is a pride for Ibadan Indigenes both at home and in the Diaspora
Abidikugu, who is a United Kingdom-based Psychiatric Consultant, called on all the descendants of Ibadan to continuously work for the development and progress of their fatherland, urging them to always pray for the peace of the city.
According to him, “My advice for all the indigenes of Ibadanland is for them to always think of how to contribute to the development of the City, as we don’t have any other place we can call our own. Let’s continue to pray for peace and tranquility in the city of Ibadan, which is known for accommodating others.
“As Indigenes, we should work towards enhancing our blessed city, which is the political capital of the entire South West”.
