Abidikugu Felicitates Muslims On Eid-El-Fitr, Urges Continuous Upholding Ramadan Tenets

The Chief Executive Officer of the Daka Foundation and a philanthropist, Dr. Kazeem Adesina Abidikugu, popularly known as KSO, has felicitated Muslims on the occasion of this year’s Eid al-Fitr.

Eid al-Fitr is the celebration that marks the end of Ramadan. It is a time of joy, congregational prayers, charity (Zakat El-Fitr), feasting, and visiting family.

The Federal Government has declared March 19th and 20th as public holidays for the celebration.

In a statement signed by Abidikugu and made available to journalists, he congratulated the Muslims for the successful completion of the 30-day fast.

Abidikugu, who is the Agba-Akin Bobajiro of Ibadanland, said the fasting in the month of Ramadan was a period of divine connection and total abstinence from sinful acts, congratulating the Muslims that they were able to peacefully complete the fasting exercise.

Abidikugu, who is also a United Kingdom-based Psychiatric Consultant, urges Nigerians, especially the politicians, not to return to their sins after abstinence for a month.

He urges them to always seek the face of God in whatever programmes they plan to execute in governance and to continue their good deeds after Ramadan.

According to the statement, “I felicitate with the Muslims on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan. It is a thing of joy that for a month, Muslims were able to seek the face of God by abstaining from their sinful acts.

“During the period of Ramadan, it was observed that many Muslims engaged in love for one another through the sharing of foodstuffs and other essentials. Please let us continue with these acts of benevolence. Let’s be our brother’s keepers.

“We should also celebrate with modesty, having in mind that the Christians are still in the Lenten period. Let’s maintain peaceful coexistence and love for one another.

“To the politicians, continue your good acts which you observed during Ramadan, even now that Ramadan has gone. Display forthright truth, and love for the generality of the people. Your abstinence from sinful acts should not be during the month of Ramadan alone, but always.”
