A presidential aspirant on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, has declared his intention to boycott the scheduled Tuesday announcement of the party’s presidential primary results, citing claims of extensive irregularities in the process.
Hayatu-Deen, who said he personally witnessed some of these infractions, made this known in a post on his official X account.
In the post on Tuesday, he said: “I will not be attending the announcement of the ADC Presidential Election Results today.
“I am concerned by reports from across the country of widespread vote rigging, some of which I myself observed, and will therefore be taking advice on my next steps.”
