We formally introduce our school, Heritage House Montessori School (HHMS), a private co-educational day school which caters for children between the ages of 0 – 11 years to you. We would like to acquaint you with what we do:
CAMBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL PRIMARY PROGRAMME (CIPP)
HHMS employs the Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP) in the core curriculum areas of English, Mathematics and Science.
As an international programme, the CIPP provides the school with an external benchmark to inform the teaching of children between 5 – 11years.
It gives the school an international curriculum to work with, allowing easy measurement of learners’ progress overtime and also details structured reporting to parents.
CIPP gives the assurance of a qualitative and global curriculum, as the child’s work is benchmarked against results of other children in over 150 different countries where the same examinations are taken.
HHMS is a proud member school of the Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP)
IXL (MATH FOR THE LEFT AND RIGHT BRAIN)
‘IXL Math’ is the on-line Math support system built into the HHMS Math curriculum, to encourage the practice of mental mathematics. Children aged 4 – 16 years have the opportunity to practice different math concepts individually, and at their convenience; employing information technology skills.
The Math skills practiced are age and level appropriate, and also aligned to the British National Curriculum in Mathematics.
Through the dynamic and comprehensive content of IXL Math, Children in HHMS have and continue to significantly improve their performance in Math, as they practice in a fun, focused and engaging way, leading to lasting skill retention. HHMS is a proud member school of IXL Math.
WELL EQUIPPED SCIENCE LABORATORY
That the global trend is on scientific and technological advancement is no longer news. Science makes the world comfortable as it provides solutions to most life’s problems.
In H H M S, the study of science is given its due attention. There is a well stocked science laboratory where volumetric analysis and other scientific experiments are carried out by pupils.
Children are exposed to physical knowledge of fields like optics, magnetism, electricity where they are taught the basic tools of discovery.
In H H M S, children are exposed to models of skeleton, human anatomy and other physical structures that aid learning.

ART
Fine and applied art to a large extent is a practical oriented subject and very important to the development of a child both physically and mentally.
Heritage House Montessori School has taken time to provide a sound curriculum for art, which encompass different tasks and experiences which will go a long way to sharpen the child’s basic skills not only in art but also laying a foundation to succeed in other subjects too.
H. H. M. S has provided a conducive and well equipped art classroom for proper learning and also a well trained art teacher to instill and guide pupils towards achieving a solid foundation, confidence, creative mind and successful individual.
MUSIC
H H M S has a modern and fully equipped air conditioned music studio, so very conducive for learning.
The studio is equipped with sophisticated musical instruments, world class sound systems and audio/visuals gadgets.
We are the first and the only Montessori /primary school in Nigeria to run courses on musical instruments. Our courses include:-
