Ajia Balogun Congratulates 3SC, Fans On Returning To NPFL, Says Our Support Not In Vain

The Ajia Balogun of Ibadanland and All Progressives Congress (APC) Chieftain, Olooye Adegboyega Adegoke has congratulated the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), their supporters and people of Oyo state on their exploits which earned them a place at the elite Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL).

On the 11th of September, the team defeated Ekiti United with a total of 6 goals to nil at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium in Enugu. This was after they had defeated Bendel Insurance and drew with Remo Stars.

It could be recalled that on December 8, 2019 when Adegoke was the Chairman of the Match Day 3 of the NNL between 3SC and Osun United Football Club that took place in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, he donated $3,000 to the 3SC team after beating Osun United 3 goals to nil as part of his contribution to seeing that 3SC returned to NPFL.

Olooye Adegoke, after the donation in 2019 tasked the stakeholders to join hands together in returning the past glory of 3SC by ensuring that it returns back to the Premier league.

In a congratulatory message on Sunday, Olooye Adegoke, who is the Chairman of Solutions 93.9FM Ibadan as well as an Executive Director with OES Energy Services Limited and Ocean Deep Drilling ESV Nigeria Limited while appreciating the efforts of the team, encouraged them never to relent in their efforts to keep Oyo state as a pacesetter in sports.

According to him, “I am happy that our team, 3SC, the pride of Ibadan, pride of Oyo State, pride of South West Geo-Political Zone secured needed victory to move back to NPFL

“3SC as I said earlier is a pride to all of us, in the past 3SC had even made the country proud by winning many laurels for the state and the country as a whole.

“We all need to continue to join hands together to maintain and surpass this present feat of 3SC. I am happy they are back to the Premier league.

“In my own little way as I always do in anything that would bring development and growth to Ibadan and Oyo state as whole, I will continue to support 3SC and any other areas of endavour that will attract development to the state.

“3SC is not about political parties but about the glory and pride of the state, and we all know sports, especially football, is a uniting factor irrespective of tribe or political party affiliation, football always brings everyone together.

“Sport is one of the tools for Youth development, so it is necessary for us all, the government at local, state and federal levels that believe in youth development to continue to contribute their respective qouta to sports development”.
