A delegation from the Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF) recently paid a visit to the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) headquarters in Jeddah, where they met with Dr. Rami Ahmad, the bank’s Vice President of Operations.
Leading the delegation were ADF Managing Director and CEO Ms. Zouera Youssoufou and Mr. Ahmed Iya, who heads the Foundation’s Community Engagement and Polio Eradication initiatives.
During the meeting, the ADF team walked Dr. Rami through the Foundation’s work and the impact it has made across communities regardless of race or background. The conversation centred on ADF’s strategic investments in health and wellbeing, quality education, and empowerment programmes designed to open doors for individuals and communities alike.
For his part, Dr. Rami expressed optimism about forging a strong and mutually rewarding partnership between the two organisations. He noted that many IsDB member countries are grappling with heavy debt burdens that limit their ability to invest in people and livelihoods — an area where collaboration with the Foundation could make a meaningful difference.
