All That Went Down At The Season Of Surprises’ Grand Finale!

On Monday, 24th December, 2018, MTN Nigeria wrapped up the 4th edition of its Season of Surprises Initiative at its Headquarters in Ikoyi, Lagos, after 20 days of doing great work around the country!

The ‘Season of Surprises’ initiative, is MTN’s way of showing care and commitment to Nigerians in the spirit of the festivities. Since the launch of the 2018 edition on the 1st of December, MTNers (Staff of MTN) have visited 90 locations (including hospitals, educational institutions, fuel stations, IDP camps, etc) in Nigeria to spread the surprise and kindness. In these places, gifts of vouchers, free tickets, bottles of oil, bags of rice, etc, were distributed amidst loads of laughter and gleeful dancing!

At the Grand Finale, there was a recap of all that had been done and there was a lot!

We found out that hundreds of gift items and vouchers were given to shoppers in 50 supermarkets around the country, 9 polytechnics and colleges of education were visited, and the students were pleasantly surprised by the gesture and free goodies!  Who wouldn’t be?!

Free tickets were handed out in 15 cinemas and the list goes on and on. The very best part is that over 300,000 lives were touched! Wow!

As the grand finale drew to an end, Olubayo Adekanmbi, the Chief Transformation Officer, MTN Nigeria, shared that MTN will continue to make Nigeria even better.

Wole Rawa, General Manager, Consumer Marketing, MTN Nigeria, explained that the initiative brought out the best in MTNers as a collective unit and it also brought out their best in serving customers.

We have to agree with Rawa  – the zest in the employees as they surprised Nigerians was infectious.

That tied up the finale and our Christmas Eve was signed, sealed and delivered! The main ‘gist’ is for another day
