Announcing Italo And 10th Avenue, Africa Magic’s New Shows
Actor and film director Korede Soyinka and Elma Mbadiwe will be playing lead roles on Africa Magic’s new show ‘10th Avenue,’ scheduled for premiere on Thursday, July 4, 2024.
The drama series tells the story of siblings who infiltrate a close-knit community with a mission to seek revenge for their father’s death. Featuring more stars like AMVCA Trailblazer winner Chimezie Imo, the show aims to unravel the secrets and tension in the enemy’s camp with an unexpected romantic twist that threatens to stunt their plan.
Exploring exciting themes of classism, love, politics, and deception, the 52-episode drama series was directed by Rogba Arimoro, the director behind popular African Magic shows such as Refuge and Judging Matters.
10th Avenue airs new episodes weekly on Thursdays and Fridays at 8:30 PM on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv Ch. 151).
On the other hand, Africa Magic also premiered a new drama series, Italo, on Monday, July 1, 2024. Italo centres around Esosa, a young woman who was trafficked to Italy as a sex worker.
Fifteen years later, her past comes to haunt her as she returns to her homeland ready to marry the love of her life. Italo features a range of cast including Angela Eguavoen, Frankincense Eche-Ben, Henry Iyobosa Legemah, and more.
The drama series written by Anyanwu Sandra Adaora and directed by Adeola Osunkojo, Philemon Maigari, and Olusola Roberts, airs on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv Ch. 151) with new episodes from Mondays to Wednesdays at 8:30 PM.
