
The Ogun State Police Command has detained the driver of the Lexus SUV that Anthony Joshua was riding in during the crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The spokesperson of the command and a Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP Oluseyi B. Babaseyi, confirmed this on Thursday.
In the terse confirmation on the WhatsApp group of the command for journalists, Babaseyi said the driver is “currently in custody in connection with the Anthony Joshua accident case.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
Two of Joshua’s colleague: Kevin Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami, died in the accident, which occurred on December 29, 2025.
