Renowned Nigerian singer and politician, Olubankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, revealed in an old video how he met Nigerian afrobeat superstar, Ayo Ibrahim Balogun, professionally known as Wizkid.
In a video that surfaced on social media, Banky W stated that he did not meet the now critically acclaimed singer, Wizkid through a tweet on social media but rather found him actively working.
He claimed to have been working with the ‘Essence’ hitmaker for about a year before a tweet from Wizkid caught the attention of social media users, leading them to believe that their partnership began with the exchange of words on the micro blogging platform.
Banky W explained that, while he was checking out the music of unsigned artists, he came across Wizkid’s song.
He revealed that Wizkid worked as a hype man for a singer named Kel.
