The Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has reportedly defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), the current ruling party.
Arise Television reports that Diri defected alongside 23 members of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.
The development comes less than 24 hours after Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, also left the PDP for the APC.
While official confirmation from the governor or his media team is still awaited, sources suggest that a formal declaration of the move may take place in the coming days.
