Bayern Munich Signs Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson on Record €15m Loan Deal

Bayern Munich has completed the signing of Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson in what is being described as a record-breaking loan move for the 2025/26 season. The German giants agreed to pay €15 million for the season-long loan, with an €80 million option to buy included in the deal. A sell-on clause has also been inserted, ensuring Chelsea benefits from any future transfer.

The 24-year-old Senegalese forward, who joined Chelsea from Villarreal in 2023, arrives at the Allianz Arena as Bayern looks to strengthen their attacking options. His move comes at a crucial time, with ongoing concerns about Harry Kane’s fitness raising questions about Bayern’s depth in attack. Jackson will provide an additional boost to Thomas Tuchel’s side while also seeking the opportunity for more consistent playing time after slipping down Chelsea’s pecking order.

Talks between both clubs progressed quickly, led by Bayern sporting director Max Eberl. The swift negotiations allowed Bayern to edge out rival suitors, underscoring their determination to secure Jackson’s services. Chelsea, meanwhile, have been praised for their shrewd financial strategy in the transfer market—balancing immediate squad management with long-term revenue opportunities.

For Bayern, this deal signals ambition and forward planning as they prepare for another demanding season in both domestic and European competitions. For Chelsea, it is a chance to maximize squad value while giving Jackson the platform to rediscover his best form on one of football’s biggest stages.
