Big Brother Naija Season 9: Behold Possible Survivors, Victims Of Tonight’s Eviction
In a surprising turn of events, Big Brother introduced a unique nomination process on Monday, deviating from the usual Diary Room routine.
The housemates were given pieces of paper to write down the names of two housemates they wanted to face possible eviction.
However, to the surprise of fans and viewers, Big Brother had the housemates sit in the lounge and come out one after the other to publicly announce the names of the two people they nominated. All these were done in the presence of their peers.
With just four weeks remaining in the Big Brother “No Loose Guard” house, it’s becoming clear that the fate of several beloved housemates hang in the balance, as four out of the nine nominated housemates could likely face eviction tonight.
The housemates up for possible eviction are Kassia, Kellyrae, Ozee, Shaun, Victoria, Sooj, Topher, Ben and Chizoba.
This list consists of both solo players and former duos, promising a thrilling and unpredictable voting outcome.
We take a look at their chances of survival tonight;
Kellyrae and Kassia: Prior to the unpairing, fans of Kellyrae and Kassia have been trending ‘The money is married’ in support of the married couple. They escaped eviction twice as a pair without being in bottom three. But now they ride solo and have both been put up for eviction by fellow housemates. It would be an uphill task for their fans to split the votes and save both. Will the couple remain in the house after tonight’s eviction? Recall that following the unpairing last week, their team released an official statement outlining their new strategy. The statement explained that Kellyrae has always dreamt of being on the show and his wife Kassia joined to support him. Recognizing that Kellyrae has a stronger chance of winning, they have decided to focus their votes on him.
Ozee: Given the popularity of the Mbadiwe Twins in the house, it is expected that Ozee should be saved by their fans this week. The job should be easier for their supporters, as his twin brother wasn’t nominated. It will be a huge shock if he gets evicted.
Shaun and Victoria: After the nominations, most fans expressed surprise at how the housemates put Victoria up for eviction. A fans’ favourite due to her calm demeanor, many wonder why housemates see her as a threat. She and Shaun formed the Shatoria pair and are both up for possible eviction tonight. How will their fans split their votes? Shaun on his part, has been praised for his charisma and ability to connect with other housemates. His romantic relationship with Wanni could further be an advantage, as viewers are known to love ‘ships’. Will Wanni X Handi fans turn up for Shaun?
Sooj and Topher: In one of the major surprises of the season, Topher faced an unexpected twist when Big Brother nominated him for failing to follow nomination instructions. He wrote only one name instead of two, therefore Biggie added him to the list. This mistake could be costly, as fans will have to split their votes to keep Topher and his former partner, Sooj who is also up, in the house. The news left Topher feeling a mix of emotions, and he eventually sought comfort in Anita’s arms. Will Anita’s fans turn of for him? Hopefully Sooj’s romance with Nelly would help sway some votes from the latter’s fans in his favour. It is widely expected that either Sooj or Topher or even both would go home on Sunday.
Action Ben: The last time he was up for eviction, they (Ben and his former partner, Tjay) finished in bottom three, but had a lucky escape. Luckily for Ben, Tjay is the current Head of House, so their fans can put in all the votes to try and save him. Hopefully that would be enough
Chizoba: She and her sister, Onyeka, finished in the bottom three the last time their pair were on the chopping block. They were nominated for eviction in the first week alongside Tami, Radicals and Streeze. Chizoba has a ‘thing’ going with fellow housemate, Action Ben. She and her sister, Onyeka bond with the Mbadiwe Twins, but Ozee is also up for eviction, and no help is expected from that camp. With the calibre of housemates she’s up against, Chizoba’s chances of survival are very slim.
As eviction looms, viewers eagerly await the outcome, wondering which housemates would survive the chopping block and continue their journey towards the grand finale.
