There are times when life gets truly overwhelming. Demands, expectations and tasks seem so high and the ability to meet them low. It feels like life is pushing and taking at every end and giving nothing back.
Such times, especially for men becomes a time to withdraw and try to ‘fix’ things. At those moments, you want to give God and things that have to do with Him some distance so you can sort it out yourself. You decide to distance yourself from friends and family believing the space would help.
Yet, there is a Father of fathers who is so mindful of you. He chose to design your fingerprints, hand palm and footprints specially. He gave you eyes that are uniquely yours. There is a God, the Abba (dear) father, who is so particular about you that He took time to number every strand of hair on your head. He knows your name.
When the times are tough, please remember that you are never alone. The promise of His presence is the greatest of all and He keeps His word. When you are confused, think of the fact that every step of the righteous man is ordered by the Almighty. He never slumbers nor sleeps, all so He would keep an eye on you and yours 24/7.
At your lowest time, the Heavenly Father calls unto you to come up thither to a place where He will refresh and strengthen you for the journey ahead. Whatever your challenge, please remember that God has His mind full of you. His thoughts towards you are good too.
Happy Fathers’ day to all the fathers who are struggling to keep it all together at great cost. You are loved and appreciated. Be reminded though that the Abba Father has been fathering for generations without end. He alone has the perfect template for fatherhood. He wants to help you make the burden lighter as you give Him a chance to father you too.
