Martin Richard, 8, died while after waiting for his dad to finish the Boston Marathon on Monday when two bombs exploded seconds apart. According to a neighbour, Richard loves to ride his bike and play baseball,.
He died from the explosion that injured his mother and sister as they all waited for his father to finish the race.
A single candle was placed in front of his home overnight in Dorchester, Mass.
“There are no words to describe how they are feeling … we are feeling,” neighbour Jane Sherman told WCVB, adding that the family is close-knit.
The death toll from the twin bombings stands at three. At least 145 people and 10 children were injured in the attack, while about 17 people are in critical condition.
