Leaders within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are actively consulting to convince former President Goodluck Jonathan to run as the party’s presidential candidate in the 2027 election.
Party sources confirmed to Vanguard Newspaper that a delegation of PDP leaders recently met with Jonathan to exert pressure on him to re-enter the race.
According to insiders, Jonathan did not give a definite answer during the meeting but told the party leaders that he was still consulting.
A source stated, “Some PDP leaders met with Dr. Goodluck Jonathan to woo him ahead of the 2027 presidential election, but at the end of the day, the former President said he was still consulting and would get back to them.”
