Carolyna Apologises To Laura And Her Family For ‘Pimp’ Allegations
In a heartwarming moment during episode 2 of The Real Housewives of Lagos, Carolyna Hutchings apologises to Laura Ikeji Kanu for making allegations that she was pimped in the first season of the reality TV show.
“I made a statement that was not in my position to make, whether I heard it or her friend said it? Regardless, I shouldn’t be playing in the mud as well,” she said in her confessionals while she was addressing the issue with Mariam Timmer, a cast member on The Real Housewives of Lagos season 3.
Taking accountability for her statement and the damage it caused Laura and her family, she tendered a heartfelt apology to the Ikeji’s, citing that she sees how her statement was wrong as a woman and a mother.
“I’m sorry. I just want you to know that I love you very much, and I’m sorry. I’m still happy that it didn’t go south, because I would have hated myself for it. Moving forward, when I hear a rumour, I leave it,” she added.
Laura Ikeji, shocked by the apology, accepts it and declares that she and Carolyna are now in a very good place.

“I totally accept Carolyna’s apology. It takes a big person to apologise in front of all these women. I appreciate it. I think it’s very mature of her, because would I have done it? I doubt. I thought she’d call me to the side and apologise. I’m very grateful, and this is all I’ve always wanted, and I think for now Carolyna and I will be in a very good space,” she explained.
Although it seems like the dust has settled, trouble still looms as snippets of episode 3 point to a new chaotic dynamic between Laura, Carolyna, and Dabota fuelled by the same narrative of people having reservations with Laura due to her sister’s blog.
Carolyna issues a final warning. “Just because I’m apologising now and trying to make peace doesn’t mean that you think you can walk all over me. Be reminded that I can be very patient and tolerant, but when I am ready, don’t cry.”
