Celine Dion Delivers Powerful Performance at 2024 Paris Olympics
After a four-year hiatus due to her battle with stiff person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder, renowned Canadian singer Celine Dion made a triumphant return to the stage.
Her comeback performance took place on Friday at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
At the ceremony, she delivered a triumphant performance of Edith Piaf’s 1950 song ‘Hymne à l’amour’ to close the ceremony at the Eiffel Tower.
The 56-year-old singer charged $2 million for the 2024 Olympics performance.
This was Dion’s second performance at the Olympic Games, having performed ‘The Power of the Dream’ in 1996 in Atlanta.
