CEO Of Easy Taxi Nigeria, Bankole Cardoso Profiled On CNN’s African Start-Up

Bankole Cardoso
This week, Nigerian founders of innovative taxi servicing company Easy Taxi are featured on CNN’s ‘African Start-Up’ series, which highlights Africa’s SME entrepreneurs.

In the interview with CNN’s Vladimir Duthiers, Bankole Cardoso talks about his inspiration for Easy Taxi Nigeria. Easy Taxi is a mobile application that allows you to request a taxi anywhere in Lagos, at any time of the day.
Bankole says, “I wanted something easy, like the name says ‘Easy Taxi’. I wanted it to be simple for customers, very straight forward for users through a simple download on their smartphone. All it takes is 3 steps and you have a taxi at your request. The way it works is that you search for your location online, press request taxi, put the number of the street and you receive information such as, the driver’s picture, name, car type and license plate number”.
This innovative service is said to have been adopted from mobile phone apps practices in the United States for regular daily services. This start-up is aimed at focusing on delivering a superb user experience for its users while creating a more simplified means of requesting for a taxi.
“Easy Taxi will change the standard of taxi services in Lagos. It is an exciting way to hail a taxi and I am confident that we can deliver the best transportation service and become the leading taxi requesting service in Nigeria,” Cardoso says.
