Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement in principle with Crystal Palace over the transfer of young French winger Michael Olise.
The 21-year-old made Selhurst Park his home when he transferred from Reading in 2021 and is on a contract until the summer of 2026.
However, his contract contains a release clause, which Chelsea are now reportedly set to trigger in the coming hours.
The winger, who currently plays for the France U-21 team despite being eligible to play for both England and the Super Eagles of Nigeria, is one of the most exciting talents in his position.
Olise had an impressive campaign last season, scoring twice while registering 11 assists.
This has put him on the radar of a number of clubs, including Premier League champion Manchester City.
Chelsea have held a long-standing interest, and according to reports, they are close to landing their man.
Chelsea reach Olise agreement
According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, the West London side have triggered the £35 million release clause included in Olise’s Crystal Palace contract and are in advanced talks over the completion of the deal.
