Chinua Achebe, the David and Marianna Fisher University Professor, Professor of Africana Studies at Brown University, Rhode Island, USA and Nigerian Novelist is dead.
He died on Thursday night inside a Boston, Massachusetts hospital after a brief illness.
He was the author the ground breaking novel of 1958 ‘Things Fall Apart.’ The novel which was translated into over 50 languages and sold over 12 million copies worldwide.
He was aged 82.
