COVID-19: 20 New Cases, 8 Deaths Reported In Nigeria

The country also recorded eight (08) new deaths on Sunday.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday, November 14, 2021, announced twenty (20) confirmed new cases of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19 in the country.

New cases of the pandemic have continued to rise for seven consecutive weeks across Africa including Nigeria, signaling the third wave as the country confirmed the deadly Delta variants.

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Sunday, July 11 in a statement announced a possible third wave of the pandemic in Nigeria urging citizens to take proactive measures to prevent themselves from contracting the pandemic.

“Today’s report includes:

▪️46 discharged cases from Edo State and 1 discharge case from Enugu State which was erroneously recorded

▪️273 discharged cases reported from FCT for November 13th (3) & 14th (270)

▪️Backlog of 8 deaths reported from Edo State

▪️ 0 cases reported from Delta, Edo, and Sokoto States,” NCDC said.

As of Sunday, November 14, there are 4,447 active cases in Nigeria.
