COVID-19: 460 New Cases, Four Deaths Reported In Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday August 30, 2021 announced four hundred and sixty (460) confirmed new cases of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19 in the country.

New cases of the pandemic have continued to rise for seven consecutive weeks across Africa including Nigeria, signaling the third wave as the country confirmed the deadly Delta variants.

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Sunday July 11 in a statement announced a possible third wave of the pandemic in Nigeria.

“Today’s report includes:

✅Six states with zero cases reported: Brono, Ekiti, Nasarawa, Osun, Ondo and Sokoto States respectively” NCDC said.

As of  Monday August 30, there are 10,858 active cases in Nigeria.
