COVID-19: Lagos Leads Chart As Nigeria Records 203 New Cases, One Death

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday July 18, 2021 announced two hundred and three (203) confirmed new cases of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19 in the country.

New cases of the pandemic have continued to rise for seven consecutive weeks across Africa including Nigeria, signaling the third wave as the country confirmed the deadly Delta variants.

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Sunday July 11 in a statement announced a possible third wave of the pandemic in Nigeria.

“Today’s report includes:

✅Data from Oyo State for 16th July, 2021

✅Seven states with zero cases reported: Ekiti, Imo, Kano, Ogun, Ondo, Plateau, Sokoto,” NCDC said.

As of  Sunday July 18, there are 2,706 active cases in Nigeria.
