COVID-19: Nigeria Records 1,355 New Cases 

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, announced one thousand, three hundred fifty-five (1,355) confirmed new cases of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19 in the country.

Three (01) death was also reported in the country.

The country has also confirmed a new variant of COVID-19 called Omicron.

Nigeria is battling the fourth wave of the virus.

“Today’s report includes:

▪️1,036 cases reported for Lagos state are in addition to report for 28th (529) and 29th (507) December 2021

▪️ 0 cases reported from Sokoto State,” NCDC said.

As of Wednesday, December 29, there are 23,855 active cases in Nigeria.
