The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday July 19, 2021 announced one hundred and forty-six (146) confirmed new cases of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19 in the country.
New cases of the pandemic have continued to rise for seven consecutive weeks across Africa including Nigeria, signaling the third wave as the country confirmed the deadly Delta variants.
The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Sunday July 11 in a statement announced a possible third wave of the pandemic in Nigeria.

“Today’s report includes:
Five states with zero cases reported: Ekiti, Kano, Nasarawa, Plateau, Sokoto,” NCDC said.
As of Monday July 19, there are 2,840 active cases in Nigeria.
