
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday July 15, 2021 announced one hundred and fifty-nine (159) confirmed new cases of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19 in the country.
New cases of the pandemic have continued to rise for seven consecutive weeks across Africa including Nigeria, signaling the third wave as the country confirmed the deadly Delta variants.
The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Sunday July 11 in a statement announced a possible third wave of the pandemic in Nigeria.

Six states with zero cases reported: Plateau, Sokoto, Kano, Oyo Ondo and Kaduna,” NCDC said.
As of Thursday July 15, there are 2,296 active cases in Nigeria.
