COVID-19: Nigeria Records 206 Confirmed New Cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday July 20, 2021 announced two hundred and six (206) confirmed new cases of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19 in the country.

New cases of the pandemic have continued to rise for seven consecutive weeks across Africa including Nigeria, signaling the third wave as the country confirmed the deadly Delta variants.

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Sunday July 11 in a statement announced a possible third wave of the pandemic in Nigeria.

“Today’s report includes 0 cases from Plateau, Sokoto, Kano, Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Nasarawa and Kaduna States,” NCDC said.

As of  Tuesday July 20, there are 3,023 active cases in Nigeria.
