COVID-19: Nigeria Records 238 Confirmed New Cases, Two Deaths

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday July 21, 2021 announced two hundred and thirty-eight (238) confirmed new cases of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19 in the country.

New cases of the pandemic have continued to rise for seven consecutive weeks across Africa including Nigeria, signaling the third wave as the country confirmed the deadly Delta variants.

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Sunday July 11 in a statement announced a possible third wave of the pandemic in Nigeria.

“Today’s report includes 0 cases from Rivers, Osun, Ondo, Sokoto, Kaduna, Kano, and Nasarawa States,” NCDC said.

As of  Wednesday July 21, there are 3,251 active cases in Nigeria.
