The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, announced fifty-two (52) confirmed new cases of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19 in the country.
New cases of the pandemic have continued to rise for seven consecutive weeks across Africa including Nigeria, signaling the third wave as the country confirmed the deadly Delta variants.
The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Sunday, July 11 in a statement announced a possible third wave of the pandemic in Nigeria urging citizens to take proactive measures to prevent themselves from contracting the pandemic.
“Today’s report includes:
Backlog of 15 confirmed cases reported for Lagos state is for November 17th (6) and 19th (9) 2021
0 cases reported from Edo and Sokoto States,” NCDC said.
As of Tuesday, November 23, there are 3,906 active cases in Nigeria.
