England international Eberechi Eze scored the winning goal from Palace’s first attack of the game in the 16th minute.
Eze slotted home superbly from Daniel Munoz’s cross, after a brilliant hold-up play by Philippe Mateta.
Manchester City missed the chance to equalise nine minutes before the break with Dean Henderson saving Omar Marmoush’s penalty.
