Daka Foundation Congratulates Its Director, Prof Olajide On Appointment As UI Head Of Adults Education

A Philanthropic Organisation, DAKA Foundation, has congratulated Prof Olumide Ephraim Olajide on his appointment as the Head of the Department of Adult Education, Faculty of Education, University of Ibadan.
Prof Olajide is one of the Directors of DAKA Foundation, who is responsible for the formulation of Policy and strategy, which has been helping the less privileged in the field of education and in the provision of healthcare assistance.
DAKA Foundation, in a statement issued on Thursday and signed by its Chairman/ Chief Executive Officer, Dr Kazeem Adesina Abidikugu, said the appointment conferred on Prof Olajide is well deserved, saying he is a square peg in a square hole.
DAKA Foundation said it is sure that Prof Olajide will excel in his new position because he is noted for hard work, intelligence and dedication to assigned duties.
Abidikugu, who is Agba-Akin Bobajiro of Ibadanland, maintained that the feat is a result of diligence, resilience, professionalism and commitment to human development, which, according to Abidikugu, Prof Olajide will bring to his new position, experience of more than two decades of teaching, research and academic leadership.
He said Prof Olajide has made immeasurable value to the DAKA Foundation’s programmes and activities over the years, saying he has demonstrated high skills in policy formulation which has helped the Foundation in assisting the less privileged in the society.
He said he cannot but wish Prof Olajide huge success in his new assigned role, praying that the Almighty God will continue to guide him aright.
Eulogising Prof Olajide, Abidikugu, a United Kingdom-based psychiatric consultant, said he is a distinguished scholar in adult education and community development who obtained all his academic qualifications, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), Master of Education (M.Ed.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), from the University of Ibadan.
“He began his academic career at the institution as an Assistant Lecturer and rose through the ranks to become a Professor, building a reputation for excellence in teaching, research and community engagement.
“Prof Olajide’s research focuses on adult education and community development, with particular emphasis on public policy, gender, community health, poverty alleviation, social capital, income-generating activities and community participation”.
Abidikugu said DAKA Foundation is expecting Prof Olajide, in his new position, to contribute more to the development of its programmes and strategies in order to continue to serve the masses who are yearning for support and assistance to make them achieve their earthly desires.
