Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals has cut its gantry price for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to ₦1,200 per litre, setting its coastal price at ₦1,153 per litre.
The development is expected to influence fuel supply costs across Nigeria’s downstream distribution chain.
The spokesperson for the Dangote Group, Anthony Chiejina, confirmed the price review in a statement.
According to him, the adjustment reflects a downward review in the refinery’s pricing structure amid uncertainty in the global oil market.
“Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals has reduced its gantry price for petrol to ₦1,200 per litre and its coastal price to ₦1,153 per litre, a move that comes amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East that continue to influence global oil markets,” Chiejina said.
The Dangote Group noted that the adjustment is expected to influence fuel supply costs across various distribution channels, including depots and retail outlets.
With the new ₦1,200 per litre gantry price, fuel marketers may review their landing costs, particularly those sourcing petrol locally rather than importing.
Similarly, the ₦1,153 per litre coastal price is expected to affect marine deliveries to depots located along Nigeria’s coastal regions.
