It is no more news that the Tribune Group Politics Editor, Taiwo Adisa is the newly appointed Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Governor Seyi Makinde.
Considering his prowess, human relations instinct, humbleness and not combative nature, there is no doubt that the newly appointed CPS would perform credibly and manage the image of the governor excellently well.
There is something spectacular in the title, ‘CPS’. In the recent time all the Governors that have occupied Agodi Government House used Special Adviser (SA) Media or SA Communication and Strategies but the only Governor that used CPS then was Governor Lam Adesina in person of Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan fondly called Kenny in some quarters but KO in journalistic arena.
During Olaosebikan as the CPS, KO was all in all as there no dublication of office due to fact that Late Governor Lam believes in his ability and there was no doubt he performed beyond expectation.
All the journalists in Oyo state during his reign can attest to his performance as best ever in the history managing the image of any Governor so far 1999 till present moment.
During his stay in office, 1999-2003, the period remains remarkable and unbeaten till this moment. Apart from the general applaud by journalists and PR practitioners both the Oyo and Osun Chapters of NUJ celebrated KO as the Best Chief Press Secretary and Most Outstanding CPS in Nigeria respectively.
The popular stipend being given to journalists covering Governor’s office was an invention of Kehinde Olaosebikan which made it tagged as KO uptil date.
Now, that there is another CPS in making, no one is expecting anything less from versitile Taiwo Adisa than performance that will break the record of Kehinde Olaosebikan, which no Governor’s image maker has able to break uptil the present moment.
