The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the DAKA Foundation and a philanthropist, Dr. Kazeem Adesina Abidikugu, popularly known as KSO, has rejoiced with the Christians across the country on the occasion of this year’s Easter Celebration on the successful completion of 40 – Day Lent.
As he charged the politicians not to heat the polity ahead of 2027 elections, noting that this present situation calls for calm and peaceful co-existence irrespective of political affiliations.
Easter, also called Pasch or Pascha or Resurrection Sunday, is a Christian festival and cultural holiday commemorating the pass way and resurrection of Jesus from the dead, described in the Bible’s New Testament as having occurred on the third day of his burial following his crucifixion.
In a statement he issued on Friday and made available to journalists, Abidikugu who is the Agba-Akin Bobajiro of Ibadanland felicitates with the entire Christian folks across the country, wishing them successful celebration.
He urges the Christians who completed the Lent period to always abide by the lessons learnt during the fasting period.
Abidikugu who is also a Nigerian United Kingdom based Psychiatric Consultant said the occasion of the remembrance of the crucifixion and risen of Jesus Christ should be utilized by the Christians to show love to others.
He said the suffering of Jesus during the crucifixion and his triumphant risen from the dead should be a lesson to Nigerians that there is joy at.the end of righteous suffering.
Abidikugu who is a renown Philanthropist urges the Christians to celebrate with modesty, and in good accord with people of other religions.
He admonished politicians and the masses as a whole to use the period of Easter to pray for peace and harmony in the country as a means to end the insecurity, which he said has pervaded the country.
