Eedris Abdulkareem Replies Former President, Obasanjo
The former president Olusegun Obasanjo early last week while delivering a lecture at Nigeria Leadership Initiative (NLI) in Lagos on some national issues made reference to a popular music act, Eedris Abdulkareem’s song “Jaga-Jaga.”
This is happen to be second time the Baba will be making reference to the singer over the same song title.
The song was release in 2004 during Baba’s tenure as president.
Obasanjo said ‘‘one of the worst problems Nigeria is facing is disbelief. Nigerians no longer believe in themselves neither do they believe in their country’’.
He continued by saying that; “that takes me back to that song “jaga jaga”, how could a sane man dare to call his country Jaja-Jaja? It is the height of blasphemy”.
We are grooming our youths for tomorrow’s leadership and with such persons I don’t think the country can move forward’ he added.
The popular rapper Eedris Abdulkareem respond to Baba on his twitter page by saying “dis is 12years after innocent people are dying boko haramm is bombing hard and u say naija no jagajaga, mr ex president u be my mugu.”
