EFCC Summons  Ex-AGF Malami

The former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN), has confirmed that he has received an invitation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The former Minister of Justice said he will respond to the agency’s call.

Malami, who held the office from 2015 to 2023 under former President Muhammadu Buhari, shared the update on his social media page.

He said he is committed to following due process and upholding transparency.

During his tenure, Malami was involved in high-profile legal matters, including asset recovery efforts, anti-corruption reforms, and government decisions that attracted public attention.

He also handled cases related to financial crimes, arbitration disputes, and reforms in governance.

In recent years, he faced scrutiny over matters such as asset declarations and fund management, which he has consistently denied.

At this time, the EFCC has not revealed the details of the invitation or the specific issues under investigation.
