Eid-el-Maulud: “Pray For Peace, Unity In Nigeria”, Akande-Sadipe Charges Muslims

Member, House of Representatives, Rep. Tolu Akande-Sadipe on Saturday charged Muslims to use the Eid-el-Maulud occasion to pray for peace and unity in Nigeria.

Akande-Sadipe, who represents Oluyole Federal Constituency made the call through her Media aide, Olamilekan Olusada in Ibadan.

Eid-el-Maulud is an Islamic celebration to commemorate the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBH).

In the statement, Akande-Sadipe said, “I beseech you, my Muslim brothers and sisters to use this opportunity to pray for peace in our land.

She noted that as the country moves closer to the 2023 electioneering period, it is pertinent for everyone to pray for a peaceful and successful election in 2023.

She added that Nigerians must emulate the good virtues of Prophet Muhammad, which preached humility, honesty and love for others.

The House of Reps member, who Chairs the House Committee on Diaspora wished Muslims a happy Maulud celebration.
