Palmer was meant to be with the England u-21 team, but an injury to Tottenham’s James Maddison ahead of the international break has caused Southgate to include the Chelsea star in the team to face Malta and North Macedonia in the 2024 European qualifiers.

Palmer has been performing excellently since he got signed to Chelsea and has a lot impact in the club.

He scored an equalizer for Chelsea against his boyhood club, Manchester City on Sunday.
