EPL: I’m Staying To Help Amorim Succeed At Manchester United — Van Nistelrooy

Manchester United legend Ruud Van Nistelrooy has announced his commitment to work alongside Manchester United’s new coach, Ruben Amorim.

Although initially considered as a possible replacement for the sacked Erik Ten Hag, Van Nistelrooy has reaffirmed his dedication to stay with Manchester United following Amorim’s appointment.

In a post on Fabrizio Romano’s X handle on Sunday, he said, “Staying here with Amorim? I’m here to help.”

“Manchester United would be the only job I would take as an assistant. I have to say, I really enjoyed the role.”

“I committed myself to the role of assistant manager, and I did it with great pride,” he said.

It is worth noting that van Nistelrooy enjoyed a winning start to his caretaker spell in charge of Manchester United, guiding the team to the League Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday with a 5-2 victory over Leicester at Old Trafford.

He joined the Red Devils last summer.

Manchester United announced the appointment of Ruben Amorim as its new manager on Friday.

Manchester United, currently 13th in the EPL standings, will face Chelsea on Sunday.
