The three major social media apps WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook are currently down for many users across the world for more than 2 hours now.
The three apps – which are all owned by Facebook, and run on shared infrastructure – all completely stopped working 20 minutes before 5pm. Other products that are part of the same family of apps, such as Facebook Workplace, also stopped working.
It’s difficult for users on these three social media apps to make use of them at this time.
This is happening the second time this year.
