Fame Is Bittersweet, But I Stay Grounded — Bimbo Ademoye
Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye has opened up about the complexities of fame, describing it as both a blessing and a challenge.
In an interview with PUNCH, she shared her perspective, “Fame has blessed me, to be honest. I have been able to receive favours from people. Yet, I have managed to stay grounded and not let the fame get into my head. I don’t see myself as a famous person. I don’t even like the word ‘celebrity.’ I prefer being referred to as a ‘public figure.’”
Reflecting on the evolution of Nollywood, the award-winning actress expressed her excitement over the industry’s progress, saying,
“I am very happy with the changes I’m seeing in Nollywood. People are now taking their time to shoot better-quality content. I’m really impressed with the improvement in Nollywood. I would love to see more. I pray we can have a Tyler Perry-style studio where we can walk in and shoot different projects.”

Speaking about her journey as a YouTube filmmaker, Ademoye humbly attributed her success to divine guidance.
Looking ahead, the actress remarked, “I don’t see myself the way people see me. I feel like I’m just starting. There’s a lot I haven’t done. Not that I’m rushing, but I haven’t directed my film yet. I haven’t made my cinema debut.”
