Foundation Donates Food Items, Cash To Widows

….Charges Govt To Monitor Distribution Of Palliatives To Less Privileged

A Non – Governmental Organisation, Kushcare Foundation which focuses on helping the youths and widows on Friday donated food items and cash to widows in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

The gesture was organised to mark the birthday of the Founder/ President of Kushcare Foundation, Dr. Olumuyiwa Victor Kushimo.

This is as the foundation called on the Federal government to painstakingly monitor palliatives and other incentives being provided to the states to help the less privileged in their various states.

Speaking during the programme to help the widows, Chairman of Kushcare Foundation, Dr. Tosin Oladipo urged the Federal government to monitor all palliative arrangements to cushion the effects of current economic hardship on the less privileged.

According to him, “Everyday, we read in the newspapers that government is doing one thing or the other to help the poor but I want to encourage the government to always see the programmes through. The government should monitor the programmes and ensure that they get to the beneficiaries at the grassroots”.

Oladipo also called on the well to do in the society to lend helping hands to the less privileges in the society.

“There are some people that have surplus but instead of giving it out, they are wasting it. They should consider the people out there that are poor and are finding one way or the other to survive”, he said.

Addressing the widows, Oladipo advised the beneficiaries not to lose hope, urging them to keep faith and keep to the business they are into, saying the foundation will give them helping hands and see them making success.

He said “as they are going home now, I know they are thanking God for what has happened today and what we want is not just to continue giving them funds but to train them on how to get means of feeding themselves and their family members.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Founder and President of Kushcare Foundation, Dr Olumuyiwa Kushimo said the gesture was to extend hands of love and support through the foundation’s Food Bank initiative for widows .

Kushimo who was represented by the Group General Manager of the Kushcare Foundation, Lanre Sobola said the Foundation was established with a heart for service, compassion, and community impact.

He said “Our Food Bank for widows is a clear demonstration of our commitment to touching lives, alleviating hardship, and bringing hope to those who often carry heavy burdens alone. Today, we are reminded that true greatness is not measured by what we have, but by what we are willing to give to others.

“This event is even more remarkable because it coincides with the birthday of our Founder. It is no coincidence that a man whose life is dedicated to service and generosity celebrates another year by giving back to the very community he loves so dearly. We thank God for his life, his vision, and his unwavering commitment to making a difference.

“To our widows here present, please know that you are not forgotten. You are seen, loved, and valued. This food bank is a token of care, a reminder that you have a family in Kushcare Foundation.

“We deeply appreciate all our partners, supporters, and volunteers whose contributions make this day possible. Your generosity fuels our mission, and together we are building a stronger, kinder society”.
