The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has elevated Leye Adegboyega (fsi) to the position of an Assistant Corps Marshall.

Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Olabisi Onabanjo University and a Master’s degree in Transport Management from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, he adequately prepared himself for future impact.

After successfully completing the National Youth Service in November 1993, he joined the Federal Road Safety Corps.

He started as Personal Assistant to the Director of Operations, and later served as the Principal Staff Officer to the Acting Corps Marshal, and later as Staff Officer in both Statistics and Operations.

Adegboyega served as the Head of Administration and Human Resources at both Sector and Zonal Command levels, where he nurtured officers, built capacity, and instilled a culture of professionalism

He was later deployed to the Nigeria Road Safety Partnership (NRSP), where he became a bridge between the Corps and corporate giants such as Shell, NNPC, Chevron, and Dangote Group.

There, he was said to have demonstrated rare diplomatic skill, forging alliances that strengthened road safety advocacy and resource mobilization.

He returned home to apply global best practices to local challenges.

Adegboyega was named Best Corridor Commander in 2012 and later earned multiple commendations in 2016 for public enlightenment campaigns.

In April 2025, Adegboyega was made Sector Commander of Osun State (RSI 1 .1).

Under his leadership, the Command witnessed a remarkable transformation:

The successful launch of the 3rd edition of the FRSC Osun Safety Gong Magazine, strengthening public enlightenment and awareness.

Through his efforts, personnel across Osun State Commands were equipped with branded raincoats, reflective jackets, high-quality gloves, stretchers, and fully kitted first aid bags—tools that not only enhanced

His leadership style remains deeply human, firm yet fair, disciplined yet compassionate. A man known for zero tolerance for misconduct, yet widely respected for his transparency, accountability, and mentorship.

Speaking on the promotion, Adegboyega said beyond the badges and ceremonial decorations, the elevation is not just a reward; it is a call to more responsibility.

“It is a call to continue leading with integrity, to keep innovating, and to sustain the momentum of safer roads across Nigeria”, he said.
