Fuji Maestro, KWAM 1 Expresses Frustration Over Kollington Ayinla’s Absence at His Mum’s Burial

Fuji maestro, K1 De Ultimate, whose real name is King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, recently expressed his deep sadness over the absence of music icon Alhaji Kollington Ayinla at his late mother’s funeral.
Speaking openly during a recent interview on Agbaletu TV, K1 shared that he felt deeply betrayed by Kollington, someone he had supported wholeheartedly during a similar loss.
K1 revealed that when Kollington’s mother passed away, he went to great lengths to ensure she had a proper burial, taking full responsibility for the finances and bringing in several high-profile individuals to attend the ceremony.
“I am so angry with Alhaji Kollington because he never showed up to offer his condolences when I lost my mum. When his own mother passed away, I supported him to give his mum a befitting burial. I brought a lot of dignitaries to the burial for him, and I handled all the finances 100%. See how he paid me back,” K1 said during the interview, his frustration evident.
K1 went on to explain his confusion and hurt, particularly given that Kollington is in good health and still living in Nigeria.
Kollington’s only excuse for not attending the funeral was that he had called K1, and the call went unanswered, which K1 found to be insufficient.

“He is in Nigeria, hale and hearty, and the only excuse he gave was that he called me and I didn’t pick up. Am I not supposed to be angry?” K1 added, visibly emotional.
Despite the frustration, K1’s sentiments reveal the pain of feeling let down by someone he once regarded as a close ally in the music industry.
