Godwin Emefiele has resumes office as the new Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). He arrived at the apex bank premises in Abuja at 7.30a.m. on Tuesday and was welcomed by the four deputy governors and staff, led by the Acting Governor, Dr. Sarah Alade, whose tenure ended on Monday.
Emefiele will subsequently unveil the new strategies to be adopted by the bank under his leadership, according to a statement signed by Isaac Okoroafor for the CBN Director, Corporate Communications.
Godwin Emeifele is the 10th indigenous CBN governor, and was the immediate past Group Managing Director of Zenith Bank Nigeria Plc.
He has over 20 years of banking management experience.
