The Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has officially declared his move from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), the current ruling party, on Tuesday.
The declaration was made during a stakeholders’ meeting at the Government House, Port Harcourt, where the governor confirmed his decision before party leaders and supporters.
Fubara’s move adds to the growing list of governors and top political figures who have switched to the APC in the course of the year, signalling a further realignment ahead of future political contests.
